2024 SRH Chardonnay

Welcome the official release of our 2024 Sta Rita Hills Chardonnay. The “Clone 4” fruit was harvested at optimal ripeness (Brix 24.8) and acidity (3.45 pH) from Rio Vista Vineyard. The grapes went direct to press. The juice settled for 24 hours in tank and was then racked off of the gross lees to French oak barrels to ferment using ‘Montrachet” yeast. After fermentation the wine was racked to once used French oak barrels and underwent addition of malolactic bacteria. It was aged in barrel for 12 months before bottling.
It has bright acidity and a smooth creamy mouth feel. This wine has bright flavors of lemon citrus, creamy butter, and subtle salinity which combine for a lingering finish perfect for any occasion.
We enjoy pairing this chardonnay with pan seared Scallops in a Beurre Blanc sauce with lemon-herb risotto and grilled asparagus. CHEERS!
